We left Friday afternoon. We hit a TON of traffic...delayed over an hour...between here and Brookshire. CRAZY. Nick was really frustrated, but we played the alphabet game to distract ourselves while Ry watched Baby Einstein on the iPad. :) We got to mom and dad's at little later than we had planned, but we made it. We had dinner together and visited all night.
Saturday morning Val came in, and we all hung out at the house chit-chatting and playing with Ryker. Dad and Nick ran some errands, and then we all went to the party minus dad. It was really fun! Nick and I went a little early, and mom and Val came later with Ry since he was still napping when we left. Ryker was everywhere! He ran all over their yard. Nick talked with the guys and played cornhole. I spent most of my time talking with the girls and eating. Too bad. Everything was so good! Especially a caramel butterscotch dip that was there. YUMMO! My mom and Val spent most of their time chasing Ryker around. THANKS SO MUCH for watching him girls!
Nick and I were back at the house about 7:30 so we could see Ry before he went to bed. Once he was down we visited some more before bed with my mom, dad, and Val. It was nice. I am always so tired when we are there too because Ry never sleeps too well. I really dislike that part of it, but there's nothing I can do about it. I can't wait until he outgrows that part. :)
Sunday morning I met Carmen for brunch at this place called Candlelight Coffeehouse that she has been to before. It was delish! They have unlimited mimosas too. Really good and really fun! I was so glad I was able to spend some time with her this visit. I really do miss her every day, and we always pick up right where we left off. I love that kind of friendship! THANKS for being so awesome Carmen! Love you!
We got back to our house Sunday afternoon before everyone at my parents' house got sick with a virus. I was SO glad that God spared us the illness. We've had enough of that for awhile. We had a good weekend, and I am looking forward to next week when we go back to SA for Thanksgiving.
